Lovers in Midsummer
Adapted by Luella McMahon Author(s):
William Shakespeare
Here is the essence of the Bard's classic in a half-hour play: When Hermia decides to elope with Lysander rather than to please her father by marrying Demetrius, she confides to Helena the secret time and place. Helena, madly in love with Demetrius, tells him the plan which collides with that of the king and queen of fairies, Titania and Oberon, who are sorry for the unhappy lovers and send Puck with a magic juice to pour on the eyes of "the youth sleeping in the woods." One ext. set.
